this is my friend Justin. we have been friends for a long time and we just have the greatest of times hangin out with eachother. This picture is a little scary but also funny and cool. What is an understory? The understory is the part of the forest that grows under the tree canopy. It's a shady area made up of a mixture of plants which usually need more light to leaf out and grow.
And that's what our project is about. Shining a light on how a diverse group of rural residents in the forested Sierra foothills of California are creating new paths toward community revitalization.

fun post grant! like how you cropped the photo after the grouped looked at this picture. i think could have even taken away some more of the headroom so that as viewers we just focus on Justin. his expression and gesture really say a lot about him and your relationship. nice work writing about him and what the image means to you.
