whoa!

Last Saturday my family and i were outside and noticed some movement by our fountain and came upon this creature who has made a home in a hole by our house. I thought that this creature would be a cool model for a photo and he did! good thing i didnt touch him; i sure didnt want to get warts!

You are very luck to have a toad! They are wonderful garden friends and it's just a little bit of wild earth when you have them around. Toads eat all kinds of bugs that eat your plants. No warts involved.

What a shot!
It looks like you were very carefully about creeping up on the toad as to not scare him off.

This really has nice depth

Good work

Catie, great photo! I know some farmers in Costa Rica who share Alan's wisdom - they try to encourage frogs and toads to stay in their fields to eat pests. They turn on a light in the field at night to bring in bugs and then sit back to watch the action!
